4 Ways to Make the Most of Your Stay at Hotel Californian

Soak in the Design Elegance

From the Moroccan-inspired tilework to the modern coastal touches, every corner of Hotel Californian is a design lover’s dream. The rooms blend Spanish Colonial charm with Moroccan flair, topped off with one-of-a-kind pieces by celebrity designer Martyn Lawrence Bullard—giving Santa Barbara’s seaside style a fresh, modern twist.

Dine in style at Goat Tree & blackbird

Goat Tree is a cozy café with sunny outdoor seating where you can dig into fresh local bites—think flaky pastries, house-baked goods, cold-pressed juices, and a really good cup of coffee. Don’t miss the Lemon Ricotta Pancakes and the Smoked Salmon Toast.

Blackbird is a stylish bar & restaurant with a swanky vibe to it, offering eclectic, hyper seasonal cuisine. The scallops and rib eye were spot on.

Immerse Yourself in Hotel Happenings

From rooftop dinners to curated tastings, there’s always something happening here. During my stay, I got to enjoy an incredible whisky dinner with Glen Scotia and Loch Lomond, hosted by Master of Whisky Andy Westley alongside Executive Chef Travis Watson. Definitely a night to remember.

Unwind, Your way

Kick back poolside, treat yourself to the spa, squeeze in a session at the gorgeous fitness center, or just wander down the walkway to the beach. However you like to unwind, you’ll find plenty of ways to recharge.
